Betty Joan Jones Ragland Phillips was born October 3, 1934 in Johnson Township, Gibson County, Indiana to James T. Jones and Mildred Staley Jones Savage, both of which have proceeded her in death. Betty was also proceeded in death by her husbands: (Willie) Bill H. Ragland and James Phillips, as well as a sister, Clara Mae Webber of Vincennes, IN, her brothers James W. Jones of Williamsport, IN and (Marion) David Jones of Vincennes, IN and her niece, Marsa D. Gipson of Atlanta, IN. Surviving Betty are her children, Dennis (Mary) Ragland and Eva (Wally) Clark of Sheridan, IN. and her sisters Pat (Don) Easton of Brookfield, IL, Zella (Jackson) Hacker of Zionsville, IN, Golda McKee of Bicknell, IN and Anita (Roger) Bird II of Detroit, MI, Betty has 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren Betty will be remembered by her family and friends as a source of strength, her love of her family, the handmade afghans she made as keepsakes and her favorite desserts everyone loved. Per Betty''s request there will be Graveside Services only on Novermber 17, 2010 at 1 pm at the Spencer Cemetery, Sheridan, IN (County Line Road north of St Rd 38). All are invited to meet at 10660 State Road 38, Sheridan, IN to celebrate her life, immediately following the Graveside Services.
