Bob A. Viehe passed away at his home on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Bob was born on June 8, 1943 to the late Fred A. and Ferne (Eaton) Viehe in Indianapolis, IN. He attended Center School and entered 5 ^th grade in the new Marion Twp. School building. Bob graduate from Sheridan High School class of 1961, he went on and attended Purdue University and received his B.S. degree in 1965. He married Nancy J. Zell on January 19, 1964, Bob and Nancy celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Bob is survived by his wife Nancy, their two sons Matthew F. (Angela) and Douglas A. He has two beloved grandsons Jordan (Abie) and Caleb. Bob is also survived by his brother-in-law Dr. Robert (Laura) Zell, two nieces Abby Moran, Anna Marie Palinski and one nephew Eric Zell. Bob was a Quality Control Engineer for HW Gossard before returning to his home place in Marion Twp., Boone County. He farmed for 43 years, raising hogs, corn and soybeans. He embraced change and the cutting edge of new technology that has come about in farming over the years. Bob was a past member of Rotary Club, served on the Marion Twp. School Board for 8 years, Boone County Co-op for 24 years, The Lebanon Aeronuts Radio Flying Club. He enjoyed building and flying radio control planes his entire life. He earned his private pilot licensed while he attended college. Bob loved to snow ski in the west, watching his sons, grandsons take up the sport of snow skiing, and in his later years he enjoyed vacationing in Belize, Central America. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at Fisher Family Funeral Services located at 508 E. 6 ^th St. Sheridan. Where friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday July 2, from 4-8 pm. Pastor John Cernero will be officiating. Burial will follow at Wright-Bethel Cemetery.
