Clovis L. "Butch" Rudd, age 73 of Adrian died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Hospice of Lenawee Home. He was born March 9, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Francis and Anna (Wyatt) Rudd. On March 21, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada he married Betsy Demmons and she survives. Butch was raised in Sheridan, Indiana and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1959. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1958 and proudly served his country for nine years and was part of many flight crews for three years. He was stationed in Great Lakes for boot camp training and the Navy air technical training center in Memphis, Tennessee. Later he was at Barbers Point Hawaii Naval Air Station and served on flight crews, Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia and Moffit Naval Air Station. Butch was discharged in July of 1967. He attended Sparton School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, where he worked on the hound dog missile. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. He then worked five years doing real estate and part-time as a currier for UB&T. He was a member of the NRA, Tea Party Patriots and the Lenawee County Conservation League. In addition to his wife, Betsy, he is survived by his mother, Anna of Sheridan, Indiana; two brothers: Mike Rudd and Wilbur Rudd; one sister; Judy (Rudd) Renner.  He was preceded in death by his father, Francis and one sister, Betty (Rudd) Sanders. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-1:45 pm.
