Obituary

Darlene Linn Sizemore, née Willis, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Noblesville, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on October 19, 1961, in Fresno, California, Darlene lived a life marked by her infectious humor, loving nature, and a heart big enough to embrace everyone she met.

Darlene was a woman who never met a stranger. Her warmth and generosity were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a profound love for animals, a passion symbolized by her cherished cat, Pain, and her devoted dog, Daisy. These companions were constant sources of joy and comfort in her life.

Her interests were diverse and vibrant. Whether engaged in a competitive game of bingo, creating and enjoying funny TikTok videos, or expressing her admiration as an ardent Elvis fan, Darlene found delight in the simple pleasures of life. She treasured the time spent with her family and eagerly anticipated their gatherings, especially when she could showcase her skills grilling out, a pastime she truly enjoyed.

Above all else, Darlene took immense pride in her family, particularly her grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply. She was the devoted mother of Danielle (Clayton) Lee, Darrick Horrall, and Dylan Willis. She found great happiness in her role as grandmother to Destinie, Dallas, Dylan, Daylyn, and Damon. Her loving family extended to her sister Donna Willis, niece Dana Sloan, and nephew Dennis Sweazey, who all carry forward her legacy of kindness and humor.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Devorbia Willis, and her sister, Debbie (Willis) Childs. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who knew them, intertwined with the enduring spirit that Darlene so lovingly exemplified.

Her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who loved her, yet her spirit continues to inspire through the stories, laughter, and lessons she shared. Darlene’s life was a testament to the power of love and joy, a legacy that will eternally enrich those fortunate enough to have known her.

In honoring Darlene Linn Sizemore, we remember not only her laughter and caring nature but also her unyielding devotion to family and friends. May her memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who mourn her loss. A celebration of Darlene's life is be planned for a later date.
