Obituary

Darlene Ann (Zellers) Myers

September 3, 1943 — October 16, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Ann (Zellers) Myers of Fishers, formerly of Sheridan, who left us on October 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Darlene was born on September 3, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Art Zellers and Mary Frances (Baird) Zellers.

Darlene was preceded in death by her loving granddaughter who she love spending time with and her grandparents, Ken and Velma Biddle, whose legacy she honored throughout her life. She is survived by her three devoted sons, Roger, Brian, and John Myers, and her five cherished grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Palmer, who shared a special bond with her.

Darlene's life was rich with purpose and dedication. She graduated from Sheridan High School before attending Butler University and Purdue University, where she was an active member of the cheer squad and played the oboe in the band. After college, Darlene briefly moved to Florida, yet her heart ultimately called her back to her roots in Sheridan, Indiana, where she raised her family and supported the family business at Biddle Precision Components for 25 years.

Darlene was deeply involved in her community, following in the footsteps of her beloved grandfather, Ken Biddle. She served on the Riverview Foundation Board and was a dedicated member of the Biddle Memorial Foundation Board from 2001 until her passing in 2025. Her commitment to service was a testament to her loving nature and her desire to give back to the community.

A woman of many interests, Darlene found joy in traveling to visit close friends and family. She was an avid golfer and loved spending time at the local senior center, playing games and cards. Darlene enjoyed gathering with friends at Eddie's to watch Purdue and Colts games and relished the simple pleasure of dining out with her loved ones. Her home was filled with the delightful scent of her famous sugar cookies and Mexican Wedding Cakes, as she often baked for her family. Above all, Darlene treasured the moments spent with her six grandchildren, and they were the light of her life.

Darlene was known for her love for her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a faithful member of Northview Church in Carmel, where she found community and friendship.

In this time of loss, Darlene's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the thoughts and prayers that have been offered in their time of need. Darlene Ann Myers will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will remain with us forever. The family has no services planned at this time.
