Elliott Russell Ogle, 18, of Westfield passed away on Sunday June 16, 2024. He was born on March 20, 2006, to Jason and Rebecca (Rude) Ogle in Carmel, Indiana. Elliott was a 2024 graduate of Westfield High School and J. Everett Light career center to fulfill his dream of being a mechanic like his dad Jason. Elliott was a kind soul with a heart of gold and was loved by many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others who needed it. He liked hanging out with his big brother Owen and his friends. Elliott was learning how to do his own taxes from his mom, he was also teaching his Mom about gun safety and target shooting. All his teachers at Carey Ridge Elementary describe Elliott as a sweet boy. Elliott was working at O'Reilly Auto Parts and looking forward to starting Ivy Tech this fall to pursue his career as a mechanic and help his dad Jason work on the family vehicles. Elliott was a true outdoorsman, he loved fishing, and hunting deer and turkey. He enjoyed annual hunting trips to Gold City, Kentucky with his dad, brother, his uncle, and his late grandfather. Elliott was especially proud of the nine-point buck he got last year and was waiting on his mount to come back from the taxidermy. Elliott's passion was working on and driving his Ford F150 truck. Oh, the miles he put on that Truck! And driving to the family farm on Mule Barn Road was where he felt most at peace. Always protecting his favorite place, this is where he became known as the groundhog eradicator. Elliott loved animals, especially his dogs Maya Jane and Marshall. And he loved spending holidays at his Aunt Kate and Uncle Steve's house with his family, it was a big deal for him to have everyone together. Elliott was also a great cook, he loved grilling out. His specialty was his hamburgers that everyone looked forward too. He also loved playing Xbox and he loved shooting, cleaning guns and guns safety. He was a true patriot and loved his country. Elliott was taken away too soon from us. We find comfort in the fact that he is with his Papaw Dan in heaven, and they are together again. He will be deeply missed by his family; he leaves behind his parents Jason and Rebecca, his brother Owen Ogle, his grandmother Jackie Ogle and his grandparents Russell (Lynn) Rude, his aunt Kate (Steve) Fisher, his uncle Steve (Julie) Harrison. Elliot also leaves behind his cousins Katie, Zoey, Nolan, Connor, Evan, and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Dan Ogle in 2023 and his dogs Jake and Maya. A celebration of Elliott's life will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm at The Bible Church located at 1478 State Road 38 Sheridan, Indiana 46069; where family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am till time of services.
