Gloria (Harris) Bilby, 79, passed away on December 17, 2017. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Sheridan having graduated from Sheridan High School in 1956. She married Joe Bilby on March 3, 1957 in Sheridan at the First Christian Church, where she was a longtime member, and is survived by her husband of over 60 years.

Gloria was well regarded for her hospitality, servant heart and cooking, all of which she enjoyed immensely. Family was a priority in her life — she was the consummate hostess for holiday gatherings and was a tireless caregiver to those in need. She cherished being a good friend providing a compassionate listening ear to many. Gloria also enjoyed flowers and tending to her flower beds and trying different varieties year in and year out.

Besides her husband Joe, Gloria is survived by her brother Bud Harris, Cory; two sons, Steven Bilby, Noblesville and Curt (Diane) Bilby, Austin, Texas; three granddaughters (Sarah, Mary Grace and Jane Anne Bilby); nephews and nieces including Shawn (Kelley) Harris, Scott Harris, and Traci (Harris) Lorenze along with numerous great nephews and nieces as well as lifelong friend Marie Mosbaugh, Sheridan plus numerous dear friends from the community. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Gleasal and Vivian Harris, Sheridan and infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the First Christian Church, 107 West 3rd Street, Sheridan. Visitation will be on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 4:00 - 7:300 pm at the First Christian Church, Sheridan.
