Hazel Louise Carlton nee Adams, age 87 of Lizton, IN. was called home to the Lord on April 3, 2014. She was born on April 9, 1926 to the late James David Colson Adams and Nancy Kathrene Bullock in Roachdale, IN. On January 19, 1947 she married Roy Emmel Carlton. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. Hazel enjoyed cooking, collecting and selling antiques, and gardening. Most of all she loved her family who will greatly miss her, David Alan (Denise) Carlton, Karen Gail Colby, Gary Lynn Carlton, Cathy Esther Padgett and Kevin Roy (Carla) Carlton, eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings Thelma Burdine, Audrey Newman, William Adams, Faye Whitaker, Ray Adams, Betty Long, Anthony Adams and many nieces and nephews. Hazel's daughter Jeanine Carlton, siblings Orville Adams, Juanita Burdine, James Adams and her step-mother Ruth Adams preceded her in death. Services will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Church of God of Prophecy located at 8 West Elm St., Jamestown, IN  46147. Calling will be held on Tuesday April 8, from 4-8 pm at the church. Burial will follow services at Lizton K of C cemetery. Fisher Family Funeral Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
