Jerry Lawrence Weir age 69, of Sheridan, IN. passed away on May 19, 2012. He was born on April 26, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Juanita Ruth (Gipson) Weir in Lebanon; IN. Jerry owned and operated Weir painting with his wife Diane. He was member of the NRA, and he enjoyed playing cards, racing and drag racing and also watching NASCAR. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and friends, his loving wife of 49 years Diane (Roberts) whom he married March 8, 1963 in Jolietville. His five devoted children Robin (Fred) Fosnight, April Covey, Darla (Ted) Fosnight, Heather (Trent) Gordon and Jerry "Tom" Weir Jr. his twelve grandchildren Brittani and Drew Covey, Kandyce Fosnight, Brandi Thompson, Levi Fosnight, Brianna and Clayton Brunell, Teddy Anne and Jesse Fosnight and Adeline and Sky Gordon. Jerry was a proud great-grandfather of 9; also surviving Jerry is his sister Patricia Weir-Hoots and a brother Danny (Faye) Weir and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry Weir preceded Jerry in death in 1987. Services will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Sheridan First Baptist Church located at 205 E. 3rd St. where friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 pm till time of services. In. lieu of flowers donation can be made to Riley''s Children Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Fisher Family Funeral Services in Sheridan have been entrusted with handling Jerry arrangements.
