John E. Whittemore Jr., 78, died on Dec. 9, 2012. Born Nov. 13, 1934, son of John E. Sr. and Vera (Utter) Whittemore in Binghamton, N.Y. John was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in sales in the food industry until his retirement. John was member of the Noblesville Lions Club (30 yrs), Boyscout Leader, and East 91st Christian Church. John enjoyed cooking but his greatest passion was his love for his family,especially his beloved wife of 48 yrs. -Patricia (Highfield). He is survived by his wife, son- John Eric married to Bonnie; proud granddad of Amelia Lynn and John E. Parker Whittemore IV: brother Gary Whittemore married to Carol, brother-in-law Robert Highfield married to Linda. On Saturday Dec. 15th beginning at 11:00am, friends and family are invited to gather at the East 91st Street Christian Church with the service following at 1:00pm officiated by The Rev. John C. Samples. (East 91st Christian Church located at E.91st St. Indianapolis, IN 46250). Directly following, John will be taken to Oaklawn Cemetery for a military Committal Service and entombment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of John.
