Obituary
Mary Frances (Biddle) Baird celebration of life will be held on Wednesday July 7, from 5-7 pm at Sheridan United Methodist Church.
Mary Frances (Biddle) Baird, 99 of Fishers, formerly of Sheridan, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born on December 13, 1921 to the late Ken and Velma (Hughes) Biddle in Baltimore, Maryland. Mary Frances graduated high school in 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary Frances followed in her father's footsteps and went to work for his manufacturing company Biddle Precision Components starting in the early 1950's. She started out working as his secretary, then eventually became President of the company in 1980. After running Biddle for many years, she retired in 1991 and later moved to Arizona. Mary Frances like her father loved the town of Sheridan and was very involved in community as she continued to serve in her father's legacy on the board of the Biddle Memorial Foundation, which has contributed millions to Sheridan and Hamilton County non-profits. Mary Frances was a woman of faith, and she was a member of Sheridan United Methodist Church, and also a longtime member of Sheridan's Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved family. Later in life you could always find her at her friends table at MCL Cafeteria in Carmel! She loved chatting up history. Mary Frances leaves behind two daughters, Darlene Myers of Fishers, and Kay (Bob) Palmer of St. Augustine, FL. She was a loving grandmother to Roger (Tammy) Myers of Fishers, Brian Myers of Carmel, John (Laurie) Myers of Charlestown, NH, Greg (Andrea) Palmer of St. John, FL, and Holly (Jeff) Snell of Noblesville. Mary Frances was a proud great-grandmother to Jake, Josh, Lydia, Audrey, Corbin, Alexa, Justin, Jordan, Kayla, Jaelyn, Madison and Meaghan, and a great-great-grandmother to Nora. Mary Frances is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Baird in 1999. A celebration of Mary Frances' life will be held on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at Sheridan United Methodist Church located at 207 E. 2nd St. from 5:00-7:00 pm.
