Nicholas "Nick" James Godfrey, age 36, was called home on Friday, January 3, 2020, with his wife Kristin by his side. Nick was born on May 9, 1983 to James Godfrey and Cheryl Reeves in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Growing up, Nick was good at racing dirt bikes. At 8 years old, he was fastest on the track. When he wasn't racing, he loved riding the trails on his four-wheeler. Nick's loved for the wind in his face grew into owning and riding Harley Davidsons.

While living in Florida, Nick led an exciting life as a certified Zumba instructor and a lifeguard at Miramar Beach. He received his Associate Degree in Welding, then went on to become a Certified Scuba Driver. He would use this to pursue a career as an underwater welder. Little did Nick know, he would later become self-employed as a contracted truck driver for Tradewinds in Westfield, Indiana, where he currently resides. When he wasn't working, Nick enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends, or as he referred to them, his Brothers. All of Nick's friends were family to him.

Nick married Kristin Dennis on March 5th, 2019. When Nick wasn't on the road, he and Kristin took his Harley out for rides often. Nick will always be remembered by Kristin as someone who was always fun loving and giving. He always had a smile on his face that would light up a room. Nick enjoyed seeing people happy.

Nick leaves behind his wife Kristin; their children Madison Rose Godfrey, Jackson Ryan Deakins, Shelby Ann Deakins and Bristol Lynn Deakins; father James (Tammy) Godfrey; mother Cheryl Reeves; sister Mindi Godfrey; father and mother-in-law John and Helen Dennis, sister-in-law Jessica Dennis; and many friends that he considered his family. Nick will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Grace Church located at 5504 East 146th Street, Noblesville, Indiana 46062. Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 am until time of service. Pastor Melody Boyer will officiate Nick's service.
