Patricia Colleen Faith Beard Dunlavey, 87, of Sheridan, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 6, 2015. She was born March 7, 1927, to the late Fred and Bessie Beard, also of Sheridan. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1946 and was married to Donald W. Dunlavey for 50 years. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Symposium Club of Sheridan.

Survivors include her four children Julia Dunlavey, Dudley Dunlavey, Susan Glasscock (Jay), and Lisa Olson (Jason); brother, Brooks Beard; grandchildren, Amy Oberhelman (Brad Wilson), Jarit Childers, Aubrey Dunlavey, Elspeth Gasho (Joey); great grandchildren, Nicholaus Childers, Tuck Wilson, and baby girl Gasho to be born in July 2015.

Her profession was her family and she was a loving mother and wonderful grandmother. She was firm but always loving and valued harmonious relationships. You could always count on her to go shopping with you and be aware of the latest trends. She could also be relied upon to always have chocolate on hand. She enjoyed dancing, music, shoes, and flowers.  Author Joan Didion wrote about grief and described it as "A single person is missing for you, and the whole world is empty." She was much loved by her family and our lives are improved as a result of her presence and involvement.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12 at the Six Points Wesleyan Church, 1545 West 226th Street in Sheridan. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 13 also at the Six Points Wesleyan Church. Interment will be in the Sheridan Cemetery.
