Paul Ray Harris

November 26, 1969 – August 3, 2026

Paul Ray Harris, age 56, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 26, 1969, in Harlan, KY, Paul lived a life built on hard work, deep devotion to his family, and an undeniably genuine heart.

A framer by trade, Paul didn't just do his job—he truly loved it. He took immense pride in his craft, leaving a piece of his strong work ethic behind in every structure he built.

Outside of work, Paul was happiest with dirt on his tires and music in the air. Whether he was playing his guitar, going to the racetrack, riding four-wheelers, or gathering around a campfire under the stars, he embraced life with an easygoing, authentic spirit. He wasn't one to sit in front of the TV often, unless NASCAR was on, Peyton Manning was playing football, or Caitlin Clark was taking the court for the Indiana Fever.

Above all else, Paul’s greatest passion was his family. Being a father and a Papaw was his absolute greatest joy in life. He was the most genuine person you could ever meet—wholehearted, humble, and always there when his family needed him.

Paul is survived by his loving parents, Tommy and Jenny Harris of Harlan, KY; his three children, Patrick (Heather) Harris, Krystal (Kyle) Matthews, Chandler Harris, and his dog Manning; his beloved grandchildren, Lexi-Ray Jeanette Harris, Jayce Ray Matthews, Jayden Ray Matthews, and Jaxson Ray Harris, all of whom brought endless light to his life; and his dear siblings, Bill Harris, Tuck Harris, Ruby Stewart, and Sheila Combs.

He was reunited in death with his brother, Dwayne "Pooh Bear" Harris, as well as his two precious grandchildren, Serenity Rayne Harris and Patrick Ray Harris Jr., all of whom he held so dearly in his heart.

Paul will be remembered for his unwavering strength, his kind heart, and the steady warmth he brought to everyone who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to honor Paul at his celebration of life on Sunday August 30th, 2026, at 2pm at the Adams Township Community building located at 111 E 296th St, Atlanta, IN 46031.
