R ichard L. "Dick" Mosbaugh 77, of Sheridan, Indiana passed away on May 26, 2014. Dick was born June 18, 1936 to the late Richard Elmore Mosbaugh and Marian (Carpenter) Ebert in Elwood, Indiana. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School class of 1955. Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. Dick met Marie in 1955 and they were married on May 31, 1958 at the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan and have continued their membership together for 56 years. Dick proudly served his community as a Volunteer Fireman and EMT for 42 years, Past-President of the Sheridan Lion Club, Past-President of the Park Board and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was co-owner of Vermont Feed and Grain in Kokomo, Indiana retiring after 42 years. Dick will be greatly missed by his family his loving wife of 56 years Marie (Stafford), a devoted son Jeff (Brandi). Dick was a proud grandfather to Brantley and Blake Mosbaugh and Dylan and Brandon Woodcock. He also leaves behind two brothers Wayne C. and Lynn D. (Dawn) Mosbaugh along with two nieces and two nephews Sarah, Heidi, Brett and Dwayne. Preceding Dick in death was his loving daughter Laura Savage in 2010.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 at Sheridan First United Methodist Church 207 E. 2 ^nd St. at 7:00 pm, where friends and family are invited to gather from 2:00 pm till time of services. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Sheridan High School Scholarship Fund, Sheridan Lion Club Golf Outing or Phi Beta Psi Sorority for Cancer Research.
