IN LOVING MEMORY OF
The Rev.
William James Goss
July 12, 1956 – January 26, 2021
The Rev. William James "Buddy" Goss, 64, of Danville; was called home on
Tuesday January 26, 2021 surrounded by his family. Buddy was born on July 12,
1956 to the late Paul Thomas and Mary Willie (Daniels) Goss in Indianapolis,
Indiana. Buddy attended North Central High School. He married the love of his life Phyllis
Ann (Crabtree) Goss on February 4, 1974; and they began their life together. He
went to work for Schneider Trucking, driving a truck. He soon realized after
working long hours and being away for days from his family, he decided to move
on from trucking and started working as a Mechanic. While working as a
mechanic, he was offered another opportunity to work for Fox Pools of
Indianapolis, where he retired from after 27 years of service.
Buddy always felt that he had a higher calling to serve his lord and savior and he
became a minister, serving at New Winchester Baptist Church until his retirement
on August 16, 2021. Buddy loved his lord and savior, not only did he share this
with his congregation but with his family and friends.
He loved his family more than life itself and spending time with all of them was
his greatest joy. Buddy leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Phyllis. His loving
daughters Annie (Ryan) Fagan of Sheridan, Becky (Phillip) Hiner of Fishers,
Jennifer Tullock of Sheridan and Rachel Goss of Danville. He was a proud and
doting grandfather to Devin and Drew Mitchum, Ethan Tullock, Addison, Bailey
and Chloe Hiner. He was a loving brother to
Joyce Cunningham of Frankfort, Geneva Haium of Indianapolis and Mary Johns of
Anderson, and he was a proud uncle to three nieces and five nephews that he
considered his own. Funeral Service for Buddy will be private, however, Graveside service is open to
the community immediately following the Funeral. Burial will be at Crown View
cemetery in Sheridan. Everyone is invited to view his service on Facebook Live on
Friday February 5, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Fisher Family Funeral Service Facebook

prayers. Everyone is invited to sign the online guestbook, leave a condolence or
