Wilma Lois Meisberger Zimmerman, age 92 of Noblesville died October 21, 2011.
Wilma was born July 16, 1919 in Martinsville, IN to the late John Franklin and Grace (Bricker) Allen. Wilma enlisted and served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII as a Pharmacists Mate.
She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse and Medical Technician at Indiana University Hospital and retired from Riley Hospital as the Director of the Blood Bank. Wilma was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. In her later years she was an avid Euchre and Bingo player where she experienced tremendous luck.
Wilma is survived by her loving children, Thomas F. (wife Peg) and Joseph J. (wife Leslie) Meisberger; grandchildren, Joseph George, Jennifer, and Christina Meisberger; brother, Hugh Allen, and great-grandson, Nicholas Meisberger.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her sons, Joseph G. Meisberger; second husband, Raymond Zimmerman; and siblings, Bud and Bill Allen, and Joann Dove.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Noblesville, IN, where friends are invited to call one hour prior to the time of Mass.
Entombment with Military Honors will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Indianapolis.
The Family suggests memorial gifts take the form of donations to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fisher Family Funeral Services, Sheridan, IN.
